Roosters star sounds warning shot
Angus Crichton struggled to replicate his stellar 2024 for much of this season but he's started to get back to his best after the Origin period and he looks primed for a big finals series.
Crichton is one of two Roosters guns who caught the eye of The Mole and made it into the Team of the Week for round 27.

1. Reece Walsh (Broncos)
Very much diamonds and no rocks on Thursday night - destroyed the Storm with his attacking brilliance. Maybe it was the toilet water!
2. Lehi Hopoate (Sea Eagles)
Led Manly in tries, metres, line breaks and fantasy points in the narrow 27-26 win over the Warriors at Brookvale on Friday night.
3. AJ Brimson (Titans)
The versatile utility back finished the season on a high note, scoring and setting up tries in the big win over the Tigers.
4. Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow (Dolphins)
Scored three tries in the massacre of the second-string Raiders before limping off the field. Could have finished with six!
5. Mark Nawaqanitawase (Roosters)
The fans wanted a winger to score three tries on Friday night - but it was this freak instead of Alex Johnston who had another blinder. Scoring tries for fun heading into the finals.
6. Kieran Foran (Titans)
Finished his illustrious career in fitting style with two try assists and several lovely touches as the Gold Coast stormed home to beat the Tigers on Saturday night.
7. Nathan Cleary (Panthers)
Warmed up for the finals with a classy performance against the Dragons, scoring a try, laying on two more and kicking goals for fun.
8. Tino Fa'asuamaleaui (Titans)
Led the way as the Titans charged home to take the win over the Tigers with 175 run metres and some huge hits in defence.
9. Blayke Brailey (Sharks)
Topped the tackle count and very crafty out of dummy-half with his running and ball skills as the Sharks out-muscled the Bulldogs.
