How much each F1 driver earns per Instagram post

The explosion in popularity of Formula 1 has given the stars of the grid unprecedented exposure and marketability in the wider sporting landscape.

As a result, drivers have become highly marketable athletes and many are making huge profits from endorsements.

Betsmith has come up with a formula that combines followers, likes and engagement, and come up with a figure each driver gets paid every time they post on Instagram.

Lewis Hamilton topped it, but scroll on to find out just how much each driver makes.

$3043

Nobody outside the most hardcore of motorsport fans would have heard of Isack Hadjar before he made his F1 debut in Melbourne.

Unfortunately for him, he crashed out on the formation lap in the damp conditions.

He has since bounced back and driven to a sensational eighth place in Japan.

He's still making more than $3000 per post on Instagram.

The Aussie has reportedly been given until the mid-season break after early reporting suggested he could lose his seat after the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.

Even though his F1 career has barely begun, he's still making $3299 per post.

$5008

The Kiwi has had a couple of brief goes in the sport, so can hardly be regarded as a rookie.

Alas, 2025 is his first full season in the sport, and it couldn't have got off to a worse start - axed from Red Bull after two disastrous races in Melbourne and Shanghai.

$5502

The bottom four spots on this list were taken by four of the six rookies on the grid.

Gabriele Bortoleto is the only Brazilian on the grid this year, so expect him to get a boost from local supporters when the championship arrives in Sao Paulo.

$6971

The Canadian has a reputation of only being on the grid because his old man quite literally owns the team.

Stroll has become a meme having made several bizarre mistakes late in his career, including driving into the sand trap after he spun out on the formation lap at last year's Brazilian Grand Prix. He got stuck and forced a delay to the start of the race.

Driving on the sealed access road that ran the whole way around the trap would have been a much smarter option.

Somehow, he still makes nearly $7000 per post on Instagram.

The young Italian is making his debut in F1 this year, and has impressed in his opening four races as George Russell's teammate.

$10,459

The German veteran has the unwanted record of having recorded the most starts in F1 history without ever scoring a podium, and therefore the most career starts without a win.

Despite having debuted in 2010, Hulkenberg has never been given a chance in a top team.

But he's still earning good money on Instagram, and he doesn't post much.

$12,461

He starred on debut covering for an ill Carlos Sainz in Saudi Arabia last year, which earned him a full-time seat for 2025.

He's a charismatic character, and brands are starting to get on board.

$12,469

Ocon has been on the grid for a decade, but is another who's never secured a seat in a top team.

The Frenchman was caught up in an ugly run-in with his teammate at the Monaco Grand Prix last year, which nearly cost him his job.
