Thank you for tuning into Wide World of Sports' live coverage of Australia's final SheBelieves Cup match, where they were defeated by Colombia.

Not the result that Matildas' fans would have hoped for but plenty of opportunities to grow following the post-mortem of this tournament.

A valiant debut run at the SheBelieves Cup has ended with a 'wake up call' for the Matildas as they were denied a win against a fierce Colombian outfit.

A late goal by Hayley Raso was not enough to salvage the Matildas' campaign in America as Colombian skipper Catalina Usme recovered her side's lead in the 73rd minute.

Update on Football Australia's coach search

Emily Patterson

Speaking at an event to commemorate one year until Australia hosts the Women's Asian Cup, Football Australia CEO James Johnson confirmed that interim coach Tom Sermanni would lead the team in April's friendlies.

Then Matildas will face the Korea Republic in two international friendlies on April 4 and 7.

"We're in advanced discussions," Johnson said of the Matildas' next manager.

"What's more important is getting the right coach in, once that coach is available to coach a team."

Matildas interim coach Tom Sermanni has one word to sum up his side's match: Frustrating.

"A little bit frustrated at the moment. I think we did more than enough to win the game," he told Paramount+ post-match.

"All that was left was to win the game."

Sermanni did not want to blame the individual players' performances but said the performance as a whole was disappointing.

"Really frustrated with the outcome," he said.

The match starts and ends with a strong save from Teagan Micah.

Both teams with goal a piece in the second half but Colombia win 2-1.

With three consecutive losses, the Matildas finish their SheBelieves Cup debut winless.

The Matildas will be left to rue a slow start, and their inability to capitalise on chances and make the most of half-chances.
