Team of the Decade
Since 2015, the power and brilliance of the WBBL has been on display for all.
With some competing since the competitions foundations, 12 of the best have been selected in the WBBL's Team of the Decade.
Between them, 21 WBBL Championships have been won, five Player of the Tournament, and five Player of the Finals.
Six of the top seven run scorers and five of the top seven wicket takers are also included.
See who was recognised below.
Beth Mooney
At the top of the order is Australia's most decorated player in the competition's history, Beth Mooney.
Mooney is the only player in WBBL history to pass 5000 run as her skills with the bat earned her the opening spot for Australia.
Having competed with both the Brisbane Heat and Perth Scorchers, Mooney has claimed three WBBL titles, Player of the Tournament and two-time Player of the Final.
The 30-year-old has been named nine times in the WBBL's Team of the Tournament.
Alyssa Healy
Following her Australian batting partner, Alyssa Healy has produced an impressive run in the WBBL.
Healy has posted the highest strike rate in the competition (134.37) and equalled the record for the most amount of centuries in a season (five).
The 34-year-old has won two WBBL titles with the Sixers in her 10 seasons in the competition.
Featuring 120 times, she has accumulated 3006 runs.
Meg Lanning
Meg Lanning has led Australia to three T20 World Cup victories since the formation of the WBBL.
Featuring in both the Melbourne Stars and Perth Scorchers colours, Lanning was the leading run-scorer in the first two seasons of the WBBL.
She was also the winner of the inaugural Player of the Tournament award.
In 97 appearances, Lanning made 3166 runs at an average of 39.08.
The 32-year-old recorded a century on one occasion and found 50 over 30 times.
Ellyse Perry (captain)
Every team needs a captain, and Ellyse Perry is the captain of the decade.
Perry is the only player to lead the Sydney Sixers in all ten seasons, taking the team to claim the premiership title twice.
The 34-year-old sits second to Beth Mooney on the all-time run-scorer list, hitting over 4000 runs and taking 70 wickets to boot.
Perry's work with the bat has earned her the title of top run-scorer three times throughout her career.
She is also the only player to have scored at least 350 runs in all ten seasons.
Sophie Devine
A New Zealand international, Sophie Devine is the competition's third leading run-scorer.
Devine is one of 13 players in the competition to pass the 100-wicket mark, while also scoring 3960 and counting.
Featuring for both the Adelaide Strikers and Perth Scorchers, the 35-year-old has been named player of the tournament twice and also named as the captain of her nation,
Most recently, Devine led New Zealand to victory at the ICC T20 World Cup.
Grace Harris
A big hitter, Grace Harris has made her mark for the Brisbane Heat and Melbourne Renegades in the WBBL.
Harris has a strike rate of 130.80, sitting second to Alyssa Healy overall.
A foundation player in the competition, Harris was the first to record a century in a match. She also holds the record for the fastest century - achieved in WBBL|04 - and until recently stood atop of the throne for the highest score on record.
The power of her off-spin has proved a threatening trait for all who stand in front of her, collecting 66 wickets.
The 31-year-old made her international debut in 2015.
Jess Jonassen
The all-time leading wicket taker, Jess Jonassen has appeared in over 145 matches - the most of any player in the league.
Claiming 176 wickets, the left-arm spinner sits 16th overall on the all-time run chart (2207).
Jonassen remains a one-club player, winning her first WBBL premiership in 2019.
The 32-year-old has won 10 trophies during her career, five of which are ICC Women's T20 World Cups.
Marizanne Kapp
Marizanne Kapp has made an everlasting mark on every team she has been a part of, with her talent with both the bat and the ball continuing to rattle her opposition.
The South African international remains the only female player from her nation to have a hat-trick to her name in the T20I series.
In the WBBL, she remains the only player to have played in three championship-winning teams.
She has represented the Sydney Sixers, Perth Scorchers, Sydney Thunder and Melbourne Stars in the WBBL.
Kapp has recorded 133 wickets in 134 appearances, while also claiming 1361 runs.
Amanda-Jade Wellington
Amanda-Jade Wellington is one of three bowlers in the WBBL to take 150 wickets.
Wellington has been a vital part of the Adelaide Strikers premiership quests, with her bowling talent known to be able to turn a match on its head.
With the bat, Wellington averages 19.77.
She has earned the honour of the Player of the Final title in the club's WBBL|09 title match.
