Humble as ever, Cameron Green says it's all about the team after scoring his second Test hundred.

"Obviously feels really good mainly for where we are with the team," he told TVNZ+.

"It was a pretty tough wicket out there and I feel like the boys played pretty well. It's just one of those days and I think someone just needed to bat through and I'm glad it was me."

Green combined with Mitch Marsh for an important 67-run partnership and explained the role that played in helping him get past a tricky period at the start of his innings.

"I was finding it quite tough out there and I'm pretty happy I know how Mitch is going to play," he said.

"We've played quite a lot of times with each other in Western Australia. I knew he was going to play his shots and that's probably what you needed to do out there."

With the Black Caps only needing one more wicket, Green admitted the opposition are probably just ahead.

"It's pretty close, I reckon they're just on top. They've got a pretty quality batting lineup and we've got to bowl well tomorrow."

Cameron Green has his second Test hundred and his first at No.4.

"What an innings there for the West Australian," Brendon Julian said on TVNZ+.

Green brought the ton up with a cut through point and there was a fist pump to go with it.

Matt Henry gets a ripper to grab the outside edge from Nathan Lyon.

Blundell takes the catch and Lyon goes for five.

Australia are 9-267.

Nathan Lyon gets trapped on the pads but the umpire says not out.

After some deliberation, Tim Southee decides to review.

This'll be close to umpires call on height.

And it's missing.

Nathan Lyon gives the Black Caps a chance and Kane Williamson has dropped it.

It was a tough catch low to his right but it's a drop nonetheless.

"He nearly had it too," Brendon Julian said on TVNZ+.

The second Southee ball goes for another boundary with Green guiding it through gully.

Tim Southee has a fresh red pill and with the first ball Cam Green flicks it through mid-wicket for a boundary.

After getting hit for six, Rachin Ravindra comes back and hits Cummins on the pads.

He reviews it but he's already walking once the replays come up.

Ball tracking gives us three red lights and the skipper is on his way.
