Ebony Cavallaro has been a reporter at Nine News since 2012, in a career that has taken her all throughout Queensland where she has covered crime, politics, and natural disasters.
She got her start as a journalist working in regional Queensland, including Townsville, Mackay and the Sunshine Coast.
It wasn't long before she moved up the ranks to become a Nine News Reporter - her first few months were spent on the Gold Coast covering crime and tourism, before she was moved to Brisbane.
Cavallaro is now a senior reporter at Nine News where she's covered a variety of major stories including the trials of wife killer Gerard Baden-Clay and Daniel Morcombe's abductor. She has covered federal politics, floods and cyclones.
Cavallaro loves the fast-paced nature of breaking news, delivering live reports and telling people's stories, from the weird and wonderful to those that help create change.
In 2012, she was a Clarion Award Nominee for her stories in the area of health.
She has spent time working in Nine News' Canberra and Los Angeles bureaus.
