The company have discovered Western Australia has the most single men, with a ratio of 124 single men for every 100 single women.

This is followed by regional South Australia, where there are 117 single men for every 100 single women.

It is thought the high rate of men in these areas is due to the resources boom, with 350 mines in Western Australia alone.

Listen to Ben Fordham discuss the topic on 2GB here:

In major cities, Perth has the most single men with 112 to every 100 single women.

In NSW, most single women are in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs, and single men in the outer suburbs, which 2GB's Ben Fordham found amusing and discussed this morning on air.

"If you're looking for a lady, you're more likely to find one in Double Bay, Darling Point, Woollahra, Bellevue Hill, Cremorne, Cammeray, Mosman South, Coogee, Clovelly or Randwick North," he said on Ben Fordham Live.

"In suburban areas, Lakemba in Sydney's Inner South West has 252 single men for every 100 single women! In fact, Sydney's Inner South West and Inner West houses half of Australia's bachelors alone including in Lakemba, Wiley Park, Strathfield East, Homebush and Campsie South," he explained.

Fordham turned to Mark Levy, host of Mornings with Mark Levy, who was quick to point to his home suburb of Sylvania "if you're looking for a single bloke".

"Where I live," he added, before Fordham suggested single ladies head to Levy's restaurant Pronto, which is also located there.

"The women of the eastern suburbs are single and ready to mingle," Fordham continued.

"But it's the outer suburbs where you've got more men. Why would that be?" he wondered.

Melbourne's South East also contains a significant number of single men.

The Northern Territory is the only part of Australia where single women outnumber single me, but not by much.

Across the country there are 107 single men for ever 100 single women.
