Samsung has announced its latest product range, the Galaxy S25. An innovative update heavily focused on AI, the three-smartphone Galaxy S25.
Samsung showed its affinity for AI features with the launch of the S24 last year but has now incorporated even more features into its latest design. With a brand new look, the brand describes it as their "most intelligent smartphone yet".
"Our research reveals demand for mobile AI is quickly rising; and the S25 series aims to exceed that consumer expectation," said Eric Chou, Head of Mobile eXperience at Samsung Electronics Australia.
Nathan Rigger, Head of Product for Mobile at Samsung Australia, said the S25 sets "a new standard in smartphone performance, design and durability, redefining what Australians can expect from their devices".

There are three models: the Galaxy S25, the Galaxy S25 and the S25 Ultra. Pricing will begin at $1399 for the S25, $1699 for the S25+, and $2149 for the S25 Ultra, $50 less than last year's Ultra model.
The S25 and the S25 are available in the same colours: Silver Shadow, Icy Blue, Mint and Navy, whereas the S25 Ultra will be available in Titanium Silverblue, Titanium Black, Titanium Grey, and Titanium Silver.

AI assistance
The S25 makes AI very accessible, with a simple press of the phone's side button allowing access to Google's Gemini, a "human-like AI agent". Using Google and Samsung apps and compatible third-party ones, it can immediately begin navigating to your next destination or provide a detailed weather update.

AI will also help with your calendar. It can create an event for you immediately with 'circle to search', meaning all you need to do is use AI select to transform the event information from a web page into a calendar event.
AI integration also allows for call recording via the tap of an on-screen button. Everyone on the call is immediately notified via voice prompt, and the recorded voices can also be saved in transcription generated in minutes.

The S25 also has Writing Assist and Drawing Assist. Writing Assist can summarise content for you, or formatting of notes via text selection. Meanwhile, Drawing Assist leans on sketches, text prompts or image prompts to generate images, although these are watermarked to indicate AI generation.
The processor
The Snapgradon 8 Elite for Galaxy is the most powerful processing chip ever on a Galaxy S series device. It's equipped to offer smoother and more realistic mobile gaming, plus efficient AI image processing with ProScaler, which improves image scaling quality.
The camera
While Samsung has always been a cut above with their phone photography offerings, the S25 takes this to another level. The Audio Eraser feature can remove unwanted audio from videos, and even separate background noise into voices, music, and nature, allowing you to change the levels of each or mute them completely.
It also offers clarity and vibrancy in images, with a new 50MP ultrawide camera sensor, upgraded from the previous 12MP.

You can refine your images with Filters, which introduces new analogue-style filters that change your images to feature a film-like aesthetic.
Something extra special
For something different, Samsung has paired with Crocs to release a phone case for the new S25 range. Made from the same Crocs material, and with accompanying Jibbitz available, you can decorate it as you please.
