Undeniable difference between Kate and Charlotte's Wimbledon outing and William and George's Euros disappointment
The world of sport over the past 24 hours has been a decidedly royal affair.
As Catherine and Charlotte attended Wimbledon to watch Carlos Alcatraz defeat Novak Djokovic in the men's singles final, a forlorn William and George were spectators as Spain toppled England in the 2024 Euros final.
It was certainly an undeniable juxtaposition as cheers erupted for the Princess of Wales and young Charlotte entered the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, while just hours later William and George were left bitterly disappointed by England's loss.

In a tale of two incredibly different royal outings, Kate attended the Wimbledon men's final alongside her daughter after months of speculation over her attendance.
The royal looked thrilled as she watched the on-court action, before presenting the trophy to Alcaraz in a stunning purple dress.
Spirits were high for both players and spectators after the double royal appearance, which elicited raucous cheers and applause.

Kate's triumphant return was a positive move for the royal family, who continue to soldier on through the princess' and Charles' cancer diagnoses.
The littlest special guest, nine-year-old Charlotte, also delighted royal watchers during the match thanks to her adorable facial expressions and interactions with mum Catherine.
Their sweet bond appeared stronger than ever as the pair happily enjoyed the game, a much-needed show of unity for the two Wales family members.
Meanwhile, 932km away in Berlin, an anxious Prince William - President of the FA – and his son Prince George were left heartbroken as they watched the Three Lions lose 2-1 at the EUFA Euros Final.

It's well documented that both William and George are diehard football fans – not just when it comes to the excitement of the Euros.
And the father-and-son duo's elation after England's first and only goal was quickly deflated when Spain scored their second with just minutes to go in the game.
Their expressions solemn, the difference between the joy at Wimbledon and what transpired at the football match was hard to ignore.
William and George both looked disappointed as the final whistle blew and Spain emerged victorious.

Nevertheless, William then descended to the pitch to offer his commiserations to the losing squad.
He then shared a message on social media following the crushing loss. "This time it just wasn't meant to be. We're all still so proud of you," the Prince of Wales wrote.
While William and Kate's respective public appearances may have been starkly different in sentiment, the message they are sending remains the same: the royals are back.
