Princess Eugenie shares rare royal baby video to celebrate wedding anniversary

Princess Eugenie has shared a tribute dedicated to her husband Jack Brooksbank as they celebrate their eighth wedding anniversary.

But it’s the rare footage of their newborn daughter that’s got everyone talking.

The younger daughter of ex-Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson welcomed her third child – and first daughter – Adelaide, on August 3 at a hospital in Lisbon, Portugal.

When Adelaide’s older brothers August, 5, and Earnest, 3, were born, Princess Eugenie didn’t share footage of them as babies on social media. And usually any photos she did share, showed their heads from behind.

But it seems the father-daughter moment, as Brooksbank cradled a contented Adelaide, was too beautiful for the royal mum not to share.

“Happy 8 years married my love,” Princess Eugenie, 36, wrote to her 40-year-old husband on social media on Monday night (Tuesday morning AEDT).

“What you can’t hear in this video is Jack asking our daughter if she likes her head being massaged that way… so thoughtful, caring, and best Dada there is to our 3.

“Couldn’t have wished for a better partner.”

The couple married at St George’s Chapel on October 12, 2018, in a lavish royal wedding.

A formal reception in Windsor Castle, hosted by Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, followed the ceremony and a carriage ride through the streets of Windsor.

In February 2021, they welcomed their first son and their second arrived in May 2023.

Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank met during a ski trip in Verbier, Switzerland, in 2010.

The pair spoke about their first meeting in a televised interview after news of their engagement in February 2018, with Princess Eugenie saying it was “love at first sight”.

“We met when I was 20, he was 24,” she said at the time.

“[We] fell in love. We have the same passions and drive for life.”

The princess revealed when her future husband came over to introduce himself and shake her hand, she “was all butterflies and nervous”.
