Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis watch England play in Euro 2024 final

Prince William and Catherine, the Princess of Wales have shared a rare insight into their home life with a single photo of their two youngest children.

While their big brother was in Berlin watching England play in the Euro 2024 final against Spain, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis were glued to the TV back home.

William and Kate shared a photo of the young duo proudly wearing personalised England jerseys alongside a message of support for their national team, which once again fell agonisingly short of glory.

"England, your teamwork, grit and determination were an inspiration to all of us, young and old. Congratulations to Spain. W & C," the royals captioned the snap.

Two future kings spotted at nail-biting football match

Charlotte and Louis' England jerseys bore their respective names and ages, but elder brother Prince George was nowhere to be seen.

That's because the 10-year-old future king attended the final in person with his dad William.

The pair are football fans and have previously attended games together, with William also the president of the Football Association.

William and George were seated next to King Felipe of Spain and his youngest daughter Infanta Sofia, 17.

It's believed that Kate remained at home with her two youngest children, all three of them tuning into the match from the comfort of the couch.

The sweet snap of Charlotte and Louis came just one day after the young princess stepped out at Wimbledon with her mother, who made a rare appearance at the tournament.

Kate, 42, appeared at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club on Sunday afternoon (about 10.50pm AEST) following weeks of speculation over her attendance.

It marks only Kate's second public appearance in 2024 amid her cancer battle but her beaming face in photos gave away her thrill at being back court-side.

"Great to be back at Wimbledon! There's nothing quite like The Championships," Kensington Palace posted on the royal's social media account.

The royal appeared a little emotional as huge cheers rang out as she arrived in the royal box, with an impromptu standing ovation taking place across centre court.
