Mike Tindall shares a glimpse into Prince George's life: 'Loves his football'

Prince George "loves his football", according to his 'uncle' Mike Tindall, who has given a glimpse into the young royal's life during an interview with The Telegraph in the UK.

Tindall, 45, a former footballer, revealed George, 11, is a fan of team Aston Villa.

"George loves his football," he said.

"I've played numerous times in the garden with him. He's passionate about [Premier League team] Aston Villa, too. Wherever he is, he'll sit down and watch that game."

In fact, the entire family "love sport" he said, adding that the Princess of Wales is particularly fond of running.

"They're just a family who love sport," he said, "Catherine loves her running."

Tindall spoke to the publication ahead of the release of a the book The Good, the Bad & the Rugby: Unleased, out on October 24.

Tindall co-hosts the podcast The Good, the Bad & the Rugby with James Haskell and Alex Payne.

He regularly shares glimpses into royal life on the podcast, including once sharing that Prince William's "not the best of drinkers."

"Coming from a sport where it is built on the social aspect and a couple of beers being sunk quite often," he said.

"That is one I will definitely give away for the Prince of Wales. 'One-Pint Willy.' It's out there now. Sorry, sir!"

Mike Tindall is married to Prince William's cousin, Zara Tindall. The couple met in 2003 and wed in 2011.

The are parents to Mia, 10, and Lena, six, and their youngest Lucas, three.

Prince George is second in line to the British throne, following his father Prince William.

The young royal was last seen in a video released by his mother Kate, announcing she had completed chemotherapy treatment and is entering a "new phase of recovery."

He is scheduled to attend the Princess of Wales' annual royal Christmas concert which she hosts each year.

The Together at Christmas concert has become a royal tradition and is hosted by the Princess of Wales.

Each year she is joined by Prince William and their three children George, Princess Charlotteand Prince Louis, five, for the concert which is televised on Christmas Eve.

Extended members of the royal family regularly support the princess at the concert, along with the Middleton clan.
