Surprising 'inspiration' behind George's 11th birthday portrait
Prince George's photo for his 11th birthday seems to be markedly different to the rest of his birthday photos, and even the ones for his siblings, with many speculating his mother Catherine, Princess of Wales drew inspiration from another young royal.
Royal fans have spotted an interesting resemblance between the 11-year-old's portrait, taken by his mother, and Prince Christian of Denmark's portrait celebrating his 18th birthday last year.
Both show the young royals posing while wearing suit jackets and shirts without ties, with their hands in their laps as they gaze off to the camera to their left.

Though they have an age difference of seven years, Christian and George share a parallel fate in that they will both be Kings of European nations.
They will likely work together in the future to form diplomatic relations between the UK and Denmark, just as their parents do now.
George's birthday portrait this year is very formal compared to that of the ones in previous years.
His previous one for his 10th birthday showed him posed sitting on the steps of a castle wearing a casual shirt and jeans.
The new portrait is also very different from the ones taken of his siblings, Princess Charlotte, nine, and Prince Louis, six, with both of them posing in a garden in casual clothing.
The birthday portraits of the Wales children are also traditionally taken by their mother Catherine who may have intentionally styled and posed the heir to the throne in this way.

This may indicate that he will soon be stepping up as he grows into his future role.
This is not the only interesting detail in the snap of the young royal.
The young prince also had what appears to be a friendship bracelet on his right wrist, revealing his status as a Swiftie.

The bracelet is also reminiscent of the handmade ones worn by his uncle, Prince Harry, over the years, believed to have been acquired in Africa.
The image was shown alongside a short caption: "Wishing Prince George a very happy 11th birthday today!"
