Using Best's professional talents, he kicked a miniature NRL ball which exploded with pink dust to reveal they were expecting a daughter.

The family recently travelled to the USA together for the opening round of the NRL season where the Knights played in Las Vegas.

While things are going well for the couple now, the news of their relationship didn't go down well with her famous dad.

Jeff, who is one of Australia's greatest boxing talents, wasn't thrilled to find out his daughter was dating an NRL player.

When she called him to say she was dating Best he "went apes--t", she recalled in an interview with News Corp.

He explained he had warned her about getting involved with NRL players in the past.

"So when she rang and told me, I went off the deep end. I gave her a roasting. She kept trying to say, 'Dad, he's a lovely guy'. Kayla was telling me every day how nice he was," he explained.

"Bradman knew I was angry, but he told Kayla, 'I'll prove your dad wrong' - and he has."
