Coles will no longer be available on DoorDash from the end of this month, in a major shake up of on-demand grocery deliveries in Australia.

The news comes hours after Woolworths announced its partnership with DoorDash which is scheduled to begin "soon".

A Coles spokesperson told nine.com.au: "While the expanded range of Coles products is available to order via Uber Eats from today, Uber Eats will become Coles' exclusive on-demand delivery partner from Friday 26 December 2025."

Under the expanded partnership, Uber will provide the "largest selection of groceries ever available on an on-demand delivery platform in Australia", the supermarket announced.

From this week, Aussie shoppers will be able to order up to 17,000 Coles items on Uber Eats. This reportedly marks a 50 per cent increase in Coles' Uber Eats range.

Hundreds of these grocery items will be available "at standard in-store retail prices, ensuring Coles customers can enjoy the same great value prices from home for the very first time".

This follows a report released by consumer group Choice in October that found Aussie shoppers are paying up to 40 per cent more for groceries by ordering via delivery apps.

Both retailers revealed in their latest quarterly results in increase in "cross shopping" by customers, which sees consumers visiting both Coles and Woolworths to complete their grocery shopping needs.

Rather than trying to be Australian shopper's single source of groceries, Aldi has instead focused on its "Visit Aldi First" campaign, encouraging shoppers to make the discount retailer the first port of call each week before completing their grocery needs at Coles or Woolworths.
