These products were a staple in kids' lunchboxes in the early 2000s but were equally enjoyed by adults.

Many parents would freeze the yoghurt pouches, which served to create an extra frosty treat, or to ensure they remained cold during hotter days at school.

Yogurt reportedly discontinued the dairy treats in Australia as local tastes switched to Greek-yoghurt-style products, although they are still reportedly available overseas.

Go-GURT launched in America before moving to Canada, Britain, Ireland and then Australia. They were known as Frubes overseas.

"Whether you were expertly squeezing every last drop or struggling to rip one open without a yoghurt explosion, Yoplait Go-GURT had its moments.

"In 2013, we waved goodbye to the original Yoplait Go-GURT tubes and transitioned to the yoghurt pouch format we know and love today, way easier to open, with minimal mess.

"Let's be honest, the original Go-GURT tubes were a blast (and yes, sometimes a little messy), but those moments when you couldn't quite rip the top off? Definitely not a kid-friendly feat!"

Farrell said after switching to the "pouch format" the company had to "say goodbye" once and for all to the Yoplait Go-GURT range in all it's forms in in 2016.

"But don't fret – we totally get how much Aussies loved that nostalgic Go-GURT magic, and we're still bringing the joy to snack time through our Yoplait yoghurt range," Farrell added.

"Enter Yoplait Petit Miam and Yoplait YOP Pouches – both approved by Mums and the toughest lunchbox critics around! We recommend trying out our new Petit Miam No Added Sugar range available in both strawberry and vanilla flavours."
