A McDonald's enthusiast in the US has shared his unusual way for ordering fries from the drive-thru window.

Popular TikToker Jonathan Paul 'JP' Lambiase, who posts as @HellthyJunkFood, pulled up to his local Macca's store and ordered a "large fry" - but he had a unique request.

"Hi, I was wondering, could I get a large fry but could you put it in a large cup?" JP asked the drive-thru employee.

Through the speaker, the Macca's staffer repeated JP's order slowly, with a hint of confusion.

"But put it in a large cup… alright," he told him in the video.

As the driver pulled up to the next window, several McDonald's employees were gathered to see who ordered the fries in a cup.

"It's a good idea right," JP laughed to the curious staff. "There's more!"

He then took the large, clear cup out of the paper bag and put it in his cup holder.

"You put it right in the cup holder. I can drive safely and eat my fries," he said. "Travel fries!" his companion, Julia, added.
