'I'm a self-confessed coffee snob, but I've found a cheap option I'm obsessed with'

I would like to consider myself a coffee snob, although as a sleep-deprived mum who clocks in at work at 5am, coffee has become much more than a little treat.
It's safe to say I not only love the taste, but I need what the caffeine does.
But, like the rest of us, cost of living is hitting hard and the budget isn't allowing for the luxurious cafe-purchased coffees I would love to be downing every morning.
Thankfully, I've stumbled on a new product in supermarkets and I have to say, it's a game changer.

Would you believe a little sachet of liquid espresso could actually be great? Supplied/Amy Lyall
If you've been skipping the instant coffee aisle at the supermarket, you may have missed a new little product on shelves.
It's the Moccona Liquid Coffee Sachets and they come in a pack of eight.
At first, I wasn't sold.
Instant liquid coffee? Questionable, yes… but with the sell of being able to be used hot or cold, I figured I may as well give them a whirl. Worst case, I could throw them in a couple of smoothies to use them up.
Oh, how wrong I was.
The first one I tried was the medium roast, which didn't really do it for me, but I am absolutely obsessed with the dark roast.
They also have a caramel version, if that's your flavour.
If you're into a long black, or happy to skip the foam on a latte or cappuccino, you need to give them a go.

They're ridiculously easy to make, either throwing a sachet over ice in a glass and topping up with milk, or just pouring boiling water over the top – you cannot get it wrong.
I can confirm we have a fancy coffee machine at home, grinder and all, but with a sleeping husband and toddler, it's not going to be getting turned on for my first coffee at 5:15 on weekday mornings.
We all love the indulgence of a café coffee, but there are other options out there... Getty
Instead, by boiling the kettle I've got a relatively silent coffee that absolutely hits the spot and requires no effort, the other bonus.
So, the price – this is where it's become a real winner for me.
I've found that since discovering them, the packs are on sale at either Coles or Woolworths and you can snap up Woolworths, coming in at just $4.30 ($8.60 full price).
This brings them down to just $0.54 a coffee, which is about 10 times cheaper than my coffee shop order (I know), so it feels less like an indulgence and I can happily enjoy it.
This week they're on sale at Woolworths, and you best believe I snapped up two packets.

The Moccona Liquid Espresso sachets have become my morning saviour. Woolworths
I have clocked that other brands like Campos have done these liquid sachets of coffee too, although I am yet to get my hands on them.
So, if you're a coffee snob who's looking for a cheaper option but can't bring yourself to instant, it could be an option for you.
