What does someone do for fun when they already have everything they could ever want? Start a food company, apparently.

Pamela Anderson yesterday announced she is launching a pickle company, called Pamela's Pickles.

The collaboration with Flamingo Estate is a limited-edition product, selling a few hundred jars of pickles the Naked Gun star made herself, using a recipe handed down to her by her great-aunt Vie.

Naked Gun actress Pamela Anderson yesterday announced that she is launching a pickle company, called Pamela's Pickles.

All proceeds from the pickles will go to the California Wildlife Centre.

Anderson is not the only celebrity to launch her own food product, whether it be for charity or as a passion project.

Ice cream is one avenue a few celebrities have explored.

Cher launched a gelato brand called Cherlato in 2023, while Tyra Banks opened an ice cream shop in Sydney called SMiZE & DREAM this year.

Banks' ice cream shop has been successful in Sydney, while Cher's ice cream brand is still generating buzz.

Both said the stores were passion projects, with Banks' inspired by her childhood moments of getting ice cream with her mum.

Cher said her project came after being blown away by a gelato shop in New Zealand.

She was so impressed, she partnered with the owner, Gianpaolo "Giapo" Grazioli, to bring the brand to the US.

Hot sauce is another common food item to attract celebrity collabs.

Ed Sheeran released Tingly Teds in 2023 after a "life-long obsession" with sauces. He is so obsessed with ketchup, he got the Heinz logo tattooed on his arm.

The singer worked with Kraft Heinz for over a year to produce the final Tingly Teds hot sauce, which comes in two versions: Tingly and Xtra Tingly.

Brooklyn Beckham also started his own hot sauce company called Cloud 23.

Beckham said the sauce was a tribute to his dad, footballer David Beckham, who wore the number 23 on his jersey when he played for Real Madrid.

Beckham said he saw a "hole in the market for luxury condiments" that were also affordable, birthing his own sauce to fill that gap.

Singer Lewis Capaldi released a line of frozen pizzas, which was sparked by his lockdown hobby of making sourdough.

He started baking sourdough bread during the pandemic, which quickly turned into experimenting with pizza using the dough.

The pizza brand, named Lewis Capaldi's Big Sexy Pizzas, were launched in late 2022 in supermarkets across the UK.
