Former Miss World Australia, Erin Holland, shares reality of infertility struggles in raw social media post

Erin Holland has shared a candid post on social media as she attempts to find answers to "the soul destroying unknown".

The former Miss World Australia, who is now a TV personality and married to Australian cricketer Ben Cutting, shared details of her infertility struggles in the raw caption.

"Breaking up the highlights reel with some real talk," the 36-year-old told followers alongside a series of photos.

"Many losses, many failed transfers down, today was all about exploratory surgery, internal 'renovations' & starting testing from scratch again to try & find some answers to the soul destroying unknown. What's the missing piece of the puzzle?"

The influencer noted the Injections, steroids and drugs have been "far more emotionally & physically draining than we ever bargained for" as the couple try to conceive.

Holland described their struggles in a heartbreaking but completely relatable way to accompany the photos from both the hospital bed and the sofa of their Brisbane home.

"Infertility feels like your face is pressed up against the glass of a club you so badly want to be a part of, but no one is letting you in," she wrote.

"To all going through it, life can be tough ... but my darling, so are you. Hang in there."

This is not the first time the TV personality has spoken publicly about her infertility struggles.

In March, she described the IVF journey as "incredibly difficult and taxing" and just three months ago, the 36-year-old spoke about sharing details to help others feel "a little less alone".

"When this IVF journey started almost 4 years ago I promised myself I'd share more in real time, as that's all I was ever looking for from others to feel a little less alone.

"I've let the ball down in that area - it's been one set back after the other that I've been struggling to comprehend."

Holland and Cutting wed in February 2021 after six years of dating.

The couple met in 2014, a year after the beauty pageant winner claimed her title, and they began dating in 2015.
