Anna Wintour seems to make an exception to strict Met Gala rule for co-chairs Beyoncé and Nicole Kidman
Beyoncé has broken a key rule at the Met Gala.
The famed singer was one of the last to arrive on the 2026 red carpet, and it seems that her role as co-chair helped her bend the rules.
The 44-year-old arrived with her husband Jay-Z and her 14-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy, by her side.

In 2018, event organisers implemented the rule that attendees must be over 18 years old, deeming the event inappropriate for minors despite stars such as Elle Fanning, Hailee Steinfeld and Willow Smith attending previous galas in their early teens.
This year appears to be the first since the rule was implemented that Anna Wintour has made an exception.
Not just for Beyoncé, but also for fellow co-chair Nicole Kidman, who brought her 17-year-old daughter, Sunday Rose Kidman, as her date.

This is the first Met Gala that Beyoncé has attended in a decade, last appearing on the carpet back in 2016. This year's event also marks Blue Ivy's Met Gala debut.
"It feels surreal because my daughter's here," Beyoncé told Vogue on the red carpet.
"It's incredible to be able to share it with her."
This year's theme is Fashion is Art, based on the museum's Costume Art exhibition which explores thematic body types.
The exhibition ends with the Epidermal body, so it's only fitting that Beyoncé arrived as one of the final guests wearing a diamond-encrusted skeletal look by Olivier Rousteing.

For her Met Gala debut, Blue Ivy wore a white bubble gown, pairing it with a white jacket and sunglasses as she posed with her parents.
While Wintour is known to be strict about her rules, we guess when your mum is Beyonce, the rules don't always apply to you.
