Comedian breaks down after 'incredible' moment crowd saves life of heart attack victim

A comedian has shared the "incredible" moment the crowd at one of his shows came together to save the life of a fan who had a heart attack.

Stand-up comic Drew Lynch was performing a show in Washington state, US, when a crowd member collapsed.

He posted the video to Tiktok of the moment he realised something was wrong.

"Oh no, is everything okay?" he asks the crowd before you hear someone shout back "No!"

People are seen running through the frame before someone shouts, "We're calling 911!"

Lynch asks if there's a medic in the room before hearing a woman yell, "starting compressions" as she begins to perform CPR on the man.

We then hear a second woman asking if she can "be her second" to assist with compressions before hearing one of them say the man has no pulse.

After five minutes of chest compressions, he was revived, the caption of the video reads.

"At a show this past weekend in Spokane, something happened that I will never forget," Lynch wrote in the caption.

"In the middle of my set, a man in the audience collapsed from a heart attack.

"What happened next was one of the most powerful examples of community and human connection I've ever seen.

"Without hesitation, people in the audience began taking turns performing CPR, clearing space for paramedics, and monitoring his vitals. He had no pulse for over 5 minutes.

"With the combined efforts of total strangers, and honestly, by what felt like a miracle that night, he was revived right there in the room.

"The entire audience came together in that moment—no egos, no identities, no division—just one goal: saving a life."

The comedian appeared visibly distraught and concerned while the crowd performed CPR.

After the man was revived, Lynch became overcome with emotion.

"That was incredible dude, you just came together in a really cool way, you saved that guy's life," he said on stage through tears.

"That was crazy, you guys worked together so fast...that was nuts. Can you guys give a hand to the people who saved that guys life, that was crazy."

"I have the hardest job in the world now," he added, trying to lighten the mood.

Lynch visited the man, named Mr Wende, in the hospital the following day and finished the set for him.

"Getting to laugh and share stories with his family for hours in the hospital was the reminder I needed of why comedy is so needed- especially in times when the world feels so torn apart," the end of the caption reads.

Lynch, who has over 2.5 million followers on TikTok, soared to fame as the "comedian with a stutter" after performing on Season 10 of America's Got Talent.

He came in second, but continued to do his stand-up comedy and has made a successful career out of it.
