The 'embarrassing' discovery lurking on your phone
If you are in need of a good laugh, open up your Calculator app's history.
TikTok creator @Ali.Deht started it all, posted a video with the caption "my boyfriend grabs my phone looking for messages...but there's something in there even worse" before cutting to a screenshot of her Calculator app.
The image shows the equation "10-6."

"Nothing is more embarrassing than my calculator history," she captioned the video.
Yes – in case you didn't already know, your Calculator app has a 'history' function that displays all your recent calculations, and it's incredibly humbling.
TikToker users commented under the video with screenshots of their own calculator history, showing similarly easy equations.

Everyone has at least one embarrasingly easy calculation in their calculator app history. Supplied
"I clear my calculator history faster than a man clears his search history," one person wrote.
One screenshot posted under the video showed "5+5+2" while another showed "200+200."
Others commented that they "hate math" so they use the calculator app because they "just have to be sure," while others wrote "it's always good to check."
"Trust me, you're not the only one," another person said.
When using the Calculator app is so quick and easy, we had a suspicion most people default to using their phones to do basic maths, despite how shameful it may be.
I myself am guilty of it, and was greeted by an embarrassing series of basic equations when I opened my history.
We asked around the office for some of the most embarrassing calculations. Supplied
My top contender: 28 minus 8.
I then asked my colleagues to share some of their most embarrassing calculations.
"I'm ashamed," one colleague wrote, before sending me a screenshot that read 36 minus 6.
Another co-worker sent a screenshot that read 11 minus 7, while another owned up to calculating 2 plus 7.5.
Other honourable mentions included one calculation for 90 divided by 3, 875 minus 300, as well as a hilarious 120 plus 1.
The calculator app is clearly a vital part of our daily lives, but let's be honest, it's probably making us dumber.
