Aldi announces major change to supermarkets: 'I had a cashier tell me these were on their way'
Aldi Australia will reportedly make a major change to supermarkets, with some loyal customers already benefiting from the development.
Stores will now offer half-size trolleys for customers, just as Coles and Woolworths already do.
One customer has told Facebook page Aldi Mum's she's already seen them in her local.

"I went into my local Aldi and they have small trolleys like Woolies and Coles," she reports on the page.
Aldi currently offers large trolleys which are 1.1 metres high, with some shoppers saying they struggle to use them.

"I had a cashier tell me these were on their way," another customer writes. "For reference, I'm 5'3 and pregnant with twins, so reaching into the trolley to load my groceries onto the checkout is a pain. The man came around and kindly helped me finish loading it all up and told me that I wouldn't have to suffer too much longer as shorter trollies were on their way."
"Great! Let's hope every store will get some!" adds another.
Another Aldi customer writes: "Awesome can't wait to use these. I am only short so find it hard getting my groceries out of the big trolleys."
"I am only 5'2" & feel like a child pushing an adult trolley," says another.

"Woohoo - finally an Aldi trolley that I can use without almost falling in when lifting items," another comments.
"We had these at my local, suddenly not, I'm a shorty, and very tired of bashing my boobs on the big trolleys," one writes.
Aldi also offers baskets at their stores but customers have reported shortages. One shopper says she asked a store manager where all their baskets had gone and was told they'd all been stolen.
"I asked at our Aldi yesterday where all the baskets were and apparently every one of them were stolen," reports one customer.
