TV host Joy Behar has cleared any misconceptions she appeared on air ‘drunk’.

On a July 6 (US time) broadcast of daytime talk show The View, Behar, 83, explained why at times she appeared unsteady.

Behar bizarrely attributed her dizzy spells to both cosmetic and weight loss injections.

The broadcaster said: “I got acupuncture because I’m dizzy. I walk and I’m dizzy. Has anyone noticed, I walk like I’m drunk? I’m not drinking, I don’t drink.”

Behar admitted she wouldn’t know if the acupuncture would resolve her dizziness until she has a few more sessions.

Her co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin quipped that the star had to occasionally be “escorted” to her seat on set.

Despite any whispers circulating, Behar fronted up to the July 6 recording of the show on her day off while three other co-hosts couldn’t be there.

She typically joins the panel Tuesday through Friday, but stepped in after weather-related travel disruptions sidelined regular co-hosts Ana Navarro, Sara Haines and Whoopi Goldberg.

Goldberg appeared via video from Italy, explaining that she was unable to get on a flight back to New York after Mount Etna entered its ninth consecutive day of volcanic activity.

“I am in Sicily right now, and Mount Etna, which is one of our active volcanoes here in Italy, decided to go off today,” Goldberg said.

“We have spent most of the day trying to get back to the United States, and all of the airports are closed here, so I will be back as soon as I can.”

Michelle Buteau, who had been booked as a guest, instead joined the panel as a temporary co-host alongside Sunny Hostin and Griffin.

Behar recently returned from her own European trip after travelling to Paris and London to perform her stage play, My First Ex-Husband.

The TV presenter has been part of the view for 27 years, joining the show in its debut season in 1997.

She took a brief break between 2013 and 2015 but otherwise has remained a full-time co-host.
