This polar bear is petting a dog like it’s a human

Everyone loves dogs, even if you’re half-a-tonne of sheer skull-crushing power.

This video of a polar bear petting a husky is melting our hearts faster than the polar ice caps.

In fact, cuteness is so overwhelming it’s reducing us to the kind of hysteria usually displayed by tweens over Justin Bieber.

But this is better than a pre-teen boy singing about love with Ludacris – it’s a polar bear petting a dog on the head, just like a human!

Maybe they’re best mates or maybe the husky was not smart enough to know that polar bears are killing machines, but the husky seems happy to let the huge wild animal pet him for a little while.

It seems that while polar bears could literally eat a dog for breakfast, they prefer to pet them.

It speaks very highly to how delightful dogs are, since climate change means polar bears’ access to food is diminishing and they’re practically starving all the time.

We’re not sure if the same treatment would be given to a cat, but we haven’t seen a video of a polar bear petting on – just sayin’.
