Spotify reckons this is the song Aussies are making sweet love to

If you're an Australian and you're wanting to play music to get you in the mood for lovin', there's only one song you need.

The Cantina Band song from the Star Wars: A New Hope soundtrack.

Oooooooh yeah, that jarring music played in the intergalactic cantina has totally always been a turn on, but now its sensual allure has been confirmed.

Yesterday, in the spirit of Valentine's Day, Spotify released lists of the top love-related songs played by Australians.

The scanned the playlists of Australia for terms like "sex", "sexy" and "love" and the people have spoken.

And the list "for those who want to get right down to business" is topped by the Cantina Band song, which was composed by the genius mind of John Williams and performed by these things:

Apparently it won "by a landslide", according to Spotify.

A landslide caused by a tsumani of sweat worked up in nation-wide love-making fuelled by saucy, saucy space cantina music, we assume.

Now you might argue that the data informing the ultimate ranking of lovemaking music may have been skewed by some rorting of the system.

But apparently it's a sexy times anthem the world over.

As Pedestrian points out, it appears at number one for Top 10 Sex Songs lists on Spotify for New Zealand, Great Britain and Japan.

It ranks in at third for Canada and Finland and fifth for Denmark.

This high-placing steamy beat also put Williams right at the very top of the top sex artist for Australia.
