In pictures: Every episode of Lost ranked from worst to best as voted by super fans
In the early 2000s, Lost dominated TV screens across the world.
Airing for six seasons from 2004 to 2010, Lost followed the survivors of Oceanic Airlines Flight 815 after it crashed on a mysterious island somewhere in the South Pacific Ocean.
With so many twists and turns and moments that have stuck with us through time, we thought we'd poll a group of Lost super fans to find out which episodes were their favourite.
Here, we've collated the full countdown for your viewing pleasure – scroll through to see.
Of the 324 people on board Oceanic Flight 815, there are 70 initial survivors (as well as one dog) spread across the three sections of the plane crash.
The initial season has 14 series regular roles that received star billing.
Matthew Fox plays protagonist Jack Shephard. Evangeline Lilly portrays fugitive Kate Austen, Jorge Garcia plays Hugo "Hurley" Reyes, an unlucky lottery winner, and Josh Holloway stars a con man, James "Sawyer" Ford.
Ian Somerhalder stars as Boone Carlyle, chief operating officer of his mother's wedding business, and Maggie Grace is his stepsister Shannon Rutherford, a former dance teacher.
Harold Perrineau stars as construction worker and aspiring artist Michael Dawson, and Malcolm David Kelley plays his young son, Walt Lloyd.
Terry O'Quinn is the the mysterious John Locke, Naveen Andrews plays former Iraqi Republican Guard Sayid Jarrah and Emilie de Ravin stars a young Australian mother-to-be, Claire Littleton.
Yunjin Kim and Daniel Dae Kim play married couple Sun-Hwa and Jin-Soo Kwon.
Dominic Monaghan also starred as English ex-rock star and drug addict Charlie Pace.
Over the six seasons the series introduced many new characters, notably the mysterious Ben played by Michael Emerson, Juliet Burke (Elizabeth Mitchell), Mr Eko (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje), Ana Lucia Cortez (Michelle Rodriguez) and Libby Smith (Cynthia Watros).
Towards the end of the series, we're introduced to Jeremy Davies as Daniel Faraday, a nervous physicist who takes a scientific interest in the island; Ken Leung as Miles Straume, a sarcastic supposed ghost whisperer; and Rebecca Mader as Charlotte Staples Lewis.

114. Season 3 Episode 9: Stranger in a Strange Land
Why is this considered the worst episode of Lost?
The answer has a lot to do with the behind the scenes production of the show, most notably how and when the show was prepared to give answers to the biggest mysteries.
As Season 2 and 3 of the show began to roll out, producers were in heated arguments around the longevity of the series. Lindelof and Cuse were demanding ABC give them an end date, so they knew how long they had to stretch out planned storylines.
ABC wanted the show to go on for as long as possible. Eventually, ABC backed down, confirming towards the end of the third season that the show would wrap up after six seasons. But it's these early-to-mid episodes of the third season that definitely feel like treading water.
So why does this episode feel like treading water? We get an episode that focuses on the origins of Jack's tattoos when on a strange holiday in Thailand.
113. Season 3 Episode 14: Exposé
Another episode that deviates so far away from the show's central story and characters.
The survivors investigate the apparent deaths of Nikki and Paulo (Kiele Sanchez and Rodrigo Santoro).
Who are Nikki and Paulo? We're told they've been there since the very beginning, part of the 48 survivors of the Oceanic 815 crash, however we only saw them in a handful of cameo appearances in the third season.
This episode puts Nikki and Paulo front and centre and through flashback shows their interactions with the other survivors.
Flashbacks feature past characters such as Shannon and Boone, and show Nikki and Paulo arguing over diamonds that they conned from a millionaire television executive. On the island, Nikki releases venomous spiders upon Paulo, but they are both bitten and stuck in an eight-hour paralysis.
The survivors do not figure out that Nikki and Paulo are not dead, only paralysed, and accidentally bury them alive.
112. Season 5 Episode 11: Whatever Happened, Happened
For a show that's already complicated, Season 5's story is extraordinarily complicated.
After leaving the Island in Season 4, the "Oceanic 6" decide to go back. This is the episode where Kate decides to return to the island and leaves Aaron in the care of his grandmother.
Meanwhile, back on the Island which is stuck in 1977, Juliet is unable to treat young Ben's gunshot wound and Jack refuses to help, leading Kate to take Ben to the Others to be healed. Richard explains that the process will change Ben forever.
111. Season 3 Episode 3: Further Instructions
Locke, Desmond, and Eko survive the implosion of the hatch.
Locke sees a vision of Boone and goes with Charlie to save Eko from a polar bear.
Hurley discovers that Desmond can see the future.
110. Season 4 Episode 11: Cabin Fever
Locke, Ben, and Hurley journey to Jacob's cabin, where Locke is informed that they have to move the Island.
After returning to the freighter, the mercenaries stage a mutiny.
In flashbacks, Locke is shown to have been visited by Richard Alpert many times throughout his life.
109. Season 6 Episode 15: Across the Sea
When this episode aired, we were two episodes away from the big finale. We were expecting big answers.
Our super fans aren't convinced this episode gives us enough answers. The episode reveals that Jacob and the Man in Black to be twin brothers. They are raised by a mysterious woman (played by the incredible Allison Janney) who is charged with protecting the island.
As revenge for the murder of their adoptive mother, Jacob throws his brother into the source of electromagnetism after being made the island's guardian, which transforms the Man in Black into the smoke monster.
Jacob lays the bodies of the Man In Black and his adoptive mother in a cave millennia before the crash of Flight 815. This answers a mystery from early in the first season when Locke gave the skeletons the nicknames Adam and Eve.
108. Season 6 Episode 5: Lighthouse
Lost's sixth season introduced the concept of flash sideways. Like flashbacks in Seasons 1-3 and flash forwards in Season 4 and 5 , the flash sideways intercut into episodes' main action a secondary storyline, which covered the centric characters at a different time.
The flash sideways focuses on the characters if they never crashed on the Island and made it safely to Los Angeles in 2004. The series finale reveals the nature of the world the flash sideways portrayed, but more on that later.
In this episode, the flash sideways features Jack being a single father trying to bond with his son.
Meanwhile, on the Island, on Jacob's orders, Hurley leads Jack to a lighthouse.
Claire questions an Other she has captured while tending to an injured Jin.
107. Season 3 Episode 16: One of Us
Jack, Sayid, Kate, and Juliet return from the Others' camp and because of his insistence that they trust Juliet, the rest of the survivors question the motives of Jack.
A mysterious illness strikes Claire, activated by an implant from the Others inside her and Juliet cares for her.
Flashbacks show Juliet's time on the island, kept there against her will and unable to save women who get pregnant on the island from death.
Flashbacks also show Juliet conspiring with Ben to be a mole in the survivors' camp.
