This kitten's rescue from a high-up window ledge is 😱 😱 😱

If you live in an apartment and you have a pet, your worst fear is Fluffy toppling out a window or off the balcony. This video shows what that nightmare looks like when it comes true.

SCPA Singapore officers recently came to the rescue of a kitten that had fallen out the window of a 12th-storey block of units. (Every cat owner right now: "Eeeeee.")

The rescue officer successfully retrieved the kitten with a hook — but there were police down on the ground with an open blanket, just in case.

SCPA Singapore posted the video to Facebook on October 4, World Animal Day, as a reminder "we can make a difference with small acts of kindness such as reporting cases of animals in distress or creating a safe home for our pets".

The agency, speculating that the kitten might have chased something out the window then got itself stuck, suggested the cat owner install a fly screen.

The hair-raising rescue has been viewed almost half a million times. Fortunately, it has a happy ending — although no one's going to hold it against you if you spend the next few weeks screaming at Fluffy to get away from the edge right now.
