Aussie radio host Mike ‘E’ Etheridge, who serves as a fill-in on ARN’s KIIS Breakfast program, has announced he will be officially joining the network.

The popular podcaster, who successfully co-hosted the program following Kyle Sandilands′ and Jackie ‘O’ Henderson’s departures, has signed an “exciting” new deal to stay on with ARN in a new role.

Mike E will host KIIS Summer Drive, before taking on a broader on-air content role across KIIS and GOLD next year.

“I’ve had an absolute ball filling in on KIIS Breakfast this year,” said the star alongside an official statement released by ARN on Wednesday.

“It’s been wild, challenging, funny, exhausting and one of the most memorable periods of my career.”

“And something I’m especially proud of: Behind the Mic with Mike E is officially joining iHeart!” he said of his independently created podcast.

“To see it grow, reach millions of people across video and social, and now have iHeart behind the next chapter of the show is pretty special,” he continued.

“For now though, you’ll still hear me on KIIS Breakfast. I’m not going anywhere just yet.”

Mike’s announcement comes after months of speculation over who will front the KIIS Breakfast program as an official Kyle & Jackie O replacement.

Last Thursday, radio duo Will McMahon and Woody Whitelaw announced their departure from KIIS after eight years, as ARN looked to take a “refreshed approach” to its lineup in 2027.

That refreshed lineup now includes Mike E as a confirmed Summer Drive host.

ARN chief content officer Kerri Elstub said the network “is thrilled” Mike E will continue with ARN in his new role.

“Mike has been a fantastic and invaluable part of KIIS this year,” she said. “He’s a talented broadcaster with a genuine passion for content and a great ability to connect with audiences.”

The shakeup comes seven months after ARN lost powerhouse duo Sandilands and Henderson.

Kyle and Jackie O

Henderson and Sandilands were on air for 27 years before their relationship spectacularly crumbled on air in February 2026.  Nine

Sandilands has since kicked off his own independent subscription breakfast show, Kyle Sandilands Live, where he has continued his shock jock antics in between technical difficulties.

Henderson has been lying low since her radio exit, but it’s unlikely she’ll return as part of ARN’s revamped 2027 breakfast radio offering.
