Millionaire Hot Seat contestant's request for Eddie McGuire before whopping prize money win
Gerard Roche applied to be a contestant on Millionaire Hot Seat he was hoping to win big.
The 44-year-old digital director had a goal of winning enough money to give his fiancée Sarah the wedding of her dreams.
Gerard and Sarah have been together for 16 years, engaged for 10 and share three children together. And while he's finally ready to tie the knot, he does have one dream for the day.
He also wanted to walk away with enough cash to cover paying for Millionaire Hot Seat host Eddie McGuire to MC the big day.

Needless to say, Eddie didn't jump at the opportunity to host his wedding though.
"I'm hoping we become good enough mates that you'll come to do it for free," Gerard joked.

Later in the show, Eddie admitted he was re-considering the request, after discovering Gerard became a workplace meme after a slip-up at a company function.
Gerard explained he won a prestigious award for best company website developed in Asia-Pacific, but mucked up his acceptance speech.
"I was tongue-tied," he explained.
"I walked in there and said, 'Batting above our weight', which means nothing. I meant to say, 'Batting about our average' or 'Punching about our weight'. I completely messed it up.

"At the end of the speech, I gave a bit of a thumbs up. Work got hold of [the footage], and when I got back, all over the walls were just pictures of me with the caption 'Batting above our weight'."
Gerard surprised everyone by successfully answering the final three Hot Seat questions in a row and easily winning $20,000.

No doubt, the $20,000 will chip away at paying for Gerard and Sarah's dream wedding.
