It's clear Mackinnon's passion for McLeod's Daughters hasn't waned. In fact, she's been actively championing the idea of bringing Drovers Run back to life.

"I think it would be amazing to do a reboot, and I've been gunning for it for years," she shares.

"In 2017, there was a big push back then. But unfortunately, that one fell through. There was another sort of decent-sized push around 2020. But again, it's like it's right there, but then it's just out of our reach."

Mackinnon believes the timing is perfect for a revival, especially with the next generation stepping up to the plate.

"It would be amazing with all those kids growing up as 18-year-olds, you know, working the farm, finding their feet, the little love of things. It'd be like the beginning of McLeod's again," she muses.

When asked where her character Stevie would be today, Mackinnon painted a vivid picture. "Well, she'd be grey, wouldn't she?" she said with a laugh, referencing Stevie's signature red locks.

"Where did the red hair go? It was fake," the actress admits.

"[Stevie] would be with Xander on the farm. I think she'd be single. I reckon she'd just be, she'd be running Drovers. She'd have all the kids there. I reckon Tess and Nick would be back from Argentina, so she'd be co-running with Tess again."

"I think she'd be really loving her life, doing what she loves with the people she loves."
