YouTube star NikkieTutorials and fiancé 'attacked' and robbed at gunpoint in Netherlands home

Popular YouTuber NikkieTutorials lived her "biggest nightmare" when she was robbed at gunpoint on the weekend. 

The 26-year-old Dutch native shared the frightening news on social media, revealing that she and fiancé Dylan Drossaers were "attacked" and robbed at her Netherlands home on August 8. 

"Earlier today one of my biggest nightmares became reality when we got robbed under gun point at our own home," read a statement posted by the beauty vlogger, whose real name is Nikkie de Jager. "Dylan and myself got attacked but physically we're okay. Mentally it's a whole other story.

"I'm writing this message for now to let you know that we are 'okay' and safe. Thank you for understanding as I take the next couple of days to myself."

The YouTube community has since expressed their support for de Jager, who boasts 13.5 million subscribers on the platform.

"I'm so f--k glad you are okay. I love you so so so so so much," wrote fellow YouTuber James Charles, whereas vlogger Patrick Starr commented, "Omg I'm praying for you! Ilysm [I love you so much]. I'm so sorry this happened to you. sending you peace & love."

The East-Brabant police tweeted about the August 8 robbery that took place at the couple's home in Uden. In a tweet written in Dutch and translated in English, authorities confirmed that "at least 3 perpetrators" fled the scene in a beige car but not before they "threatened" the residents with "possibly a firearm".

"One of the residents suffered superficial injuries," the police shared. It is unknown what was stolen from the property.
