Vanessa Hudgens sings about being 'strong' and 'calm' amid rumoured Austin Butler split
Vanessa Hudgens knows that love will save the day.
On Friday, the 31-year-old actress, who reportedly split with longtime boyfriend Austin Butler recently, shared an uplifting Instagram video of herself singing the popular 1994 jam 'You Gotta Be' by Des'ree.
The High School Musical alum — clad in dark denim, a vintage tee, and a fringed leather jacket — enthusiastically lip synced the chorus: "You gotta be tough, you gotta be stronger/You gotta be cool, you gotta be calm/ You gotta stay together/All I know, all I know, love will save the day."
Hudgens smiled as she danced along to the music with her friend, Australian professional dancer Laura New.
"She mah best friend," Hudgens captioned the clip.
A Us Weekly source claimed this week that Hudgens and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood actor Butler had ended their relationship after eight years of dating.

Neither Hudgens nor Butler has confirmed the split publicly.
A source told E! News that the breakup was amicable and due to their conflicting schedules.
"They're just shooting on two different continents, and it's a matter of distance," the source said. "There is no bad blood at all, and they have a lot of respect for each other."
