Vanessa Bryant discovers letter that late Kobe Bryant wrote for her: 'Wish we were all together'

While celebrating her 38th birthday, Vanessa Bryant has stumbled upon a letter from her late husband Kobe Bryant, who died in a helicopter crash along with their daughter Gianna on January 26.

"Yesterday I found an envelope labelled To: The Love of my Life," Vanessa captioned a copy of the letter on Instagram on May 5 (US Time). "From, Tu Papi. I waited to open one more letter on my birthday. It gave me something to look forward to today."

She continued: "Missing the Love of my Life and my sweet little Mamacita — my fellow Taurus. Grateful to wake up to my 3 sweet girls today. Wish we were all together."

Khloe Kardashian commented on the post, writing, "Happy birthday V! This is beautiful! You deserve this so much! I pray you know how loved you are today and everyday! This is a sign he's with you. I'm praying for you always! I love you."

Gigi Hadid chimed in, saying: "Happy Birthday. Sending so much Taurus love."

As well as the late Gianna, Vanessa and Kobe share daughters Natalia, 17, Bianka, three, and 10-month-old Capri.

On May 2, Vanessa paid tribute to her late daughter Gianna on what would have been her birthday.

"Happy 14th Birthday to my sweet baby girl, Gianna," Vanessa wrote alongside a snap of Gianna smiling in a Micky Mouse outfit. "Mommy loves you more than I can ever show you. You are part of MY SOUL forever."

On April 20, The LA Lakers star's former teammate Pau Gasol, and his wife Catherine McDonnell, surprised Vanessa with a bouquet of red roses to mark her and Kobe's 19th wedding anniversary.

"Anniversary flowers from my Kobe. Thank you," she captioned two photos of the flowers.
