Usher forced to postpone tour dates again due to neck injury

Just one day after postponing the first day of his Past Present Future Tour, Usher has more unfortunate news for his fans. 

The singer took to social media to announce he will postpone an additional two performances in his highly anticipated tour that were scheduled for this weekend.

Usher is currently recovering from a neck injury, explaining his decision in a lengthy statement posted to his Instagram.

"Earlier this week, I suffered an injury to my neck while rehearsing to provide my fans with the greatest USHER show of all time," he wrote.

"My hope was that with physical therapy and medical treatment, I would be able to overcome the injury and be ready for opening night," he added. 

"Unfortunately, the injury has not healed yet, and my doctors have instructed me not to perform any shows this week."

"The good news is that the doctors are saying that with appropriate rest and treatment, I should be ready to commence the tour in Washington DC on August 20th," his statement continued.

"I love my fans and thank you for understanding that this injury must be healed so that I can give you the 100% excellence that you expect from an USHER show and that I will be on stage in your city very soon."

Usher ended his statement by informing fans attending his Atlanta tour dates that the shows have been rescheduled, providing the updated concert dates.

The Past Present and Future tour was initially announced weeks after Usher wrapped up his My Way: The Las Vegas Residency run.

A busy time for the singer; he also announced his ninth studio album, Coming Home, and performed at the Super Bowl LVIII halftime show.
