Turnstile frontman Brendan Yates kicks out security guard from gig after he goes too far
Brendan Yates has kicked a security guard out of a Turnstile gig after the security guard became too physical with fans.
The band’s frontman paused the show in Oklahoma City to stop a security guard he claimed was “swinging” at fans who were “coming over the barrier”.

Videos circulating social media show Yates on-stage performing before noticing what was happening at the barricade.
In the clips Yates can be heard yelling “Hey!” into the microphone before quickly rushing to the right of the stage and going down the stars to talk to a group of security guards.
The band kept playing and as the song neared the end Yates appeared irritated speaking to the group, yelling into the microphone, “You’re out. You’re done.”
He then repeated to a different security guard, “He’s done!”
Moving the microphone away from his face, Yates could be seen making exaggerated hand gestures as he spoke to the group.
The band’s bassist Franz Lyons soon joined Yates on the ground as a security guard appeared to walk away.
Yates was then seen telling another member of the team, “He can’t be here, thank you.”
He quickly returned to the stage, thanking his security team for their work and explaining to fans what had just happened.
“To the security that’s doing their job and doing a great job of what you’re doing. Thank you. There are some that didn’t get the assignment,” he said.
“And I know all of you are coming up here and having a good time. There’s high energy. There’s movement. And there’s no need for anyone to be swinging on anyone just coming over the barrier.
