'Dream come true': WWE hall-of-famer welcomes baby girl at 50

Famed wrestler and Hall of Fame inductee Torrie Wilson has shared some exciting news.

At 50 years old, the former star wrestler, best known for her stints in WWE and WCW, has welcomed a baby girl via surrogate.

"Poppi Wilson Tupper was born via our angel surrogate a few months ago," the former wrestler announced in an Instagram post.

"I wasn't sure if 'Mommy' was going to be in the cards for me," Wilson continued.

"As I write this, I'm filled with emotion & gratitude. I feel like I slid onto the subway train just as the doors were closing."

The athlete, who transitioned to a role within the fitness industry post-retirement in 2008, posted a sweet image of herself cradling the brand new bub, who she welcomed alongside husband Justin Tupper, 51.

The pair tied the knot in 2019, 11 years after Wilson's divorce from fellow wrestler Billy Kidman in 2008.

Some famous names were the first to throw their hats in the ring and offer their congratulations.

Fellow star wrestler Stacey Keibler was overjoyed for her former competitor, writing "you were destined for motherhood. Anyone who's seen the way you love knows it."

Former wrestler Gail Kim also conveyed her excitement for the happy couple, saying she was "beyond thrilled" for them.

"I knew that you always wanted to be a mommy. So cheers to you and Justin in your beautiful family."

Other big names in the pro-wrestling world to reach out were WWE announcer Lillian Garcia – as well as Nikki Garcia, Michelle McCool, Kevin Nash and Nattie Neidhart, to name a few.

With an extensive resume ranging from playboy model, to wrestler, to Miss Galaxy 1999; Wilson was a well-known figure – and sex symbol – during the height of her WWE/WCW career, which spanned almost a decade.

Once at the centre of a number of high-profile feuds with pro-wrestling names such as Dawn Marie and Sable, she was inducted into the Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2019 for her contributions to the promotion of the sport.

Speaking at the ceremony, the star wrestler said, "I just want to thank you for letting me be just even a small part of your life. And for many of you guys, a part of your puberty."
