'Completely obsessed': 9News presenter Tracy Vo welcomes baby girl with husband Liam Connolly

Congratulations are in order for 9News presenter Tracy Vo and her husband Liam Connolly, who have welcomed their first child to the world.

Taking to Instagram, the 41-year-old shared photos of her new arrival, a baby girl.

"Mila Anh Connolly has finally entered our world 💞" wrote Vo.

"She arrived last Thursday, October 2, at 5:35pm – 3.44kg and 53cm long (hopefully she's inherited a bit of Liam's height! 😂).

"We're completely obsessed with our rainbow girl. She gives the best snuggles 🥰🌈" she penned, tagging her husband.

Many celebrity friends and fans congratulated her on the bub.

Nine's Belinda Russell wrote, "Lucky girl to be born into such a beautiful family. Aunty Belinda can't wait for some of those special Mila snuggles!! 💕💕"

Lizzie Pearl added, "You'll be the best mum Tvo… you already are. Love you so much… and love you beautiful Mila 💕"

Fellow 9News presenter Davina Smith said, "Lap up those snuggles xxx What a lucky little girl to have you as her mumma x"

Bec Judd said, "Beautiful news. Congratulations! X"

Vo announced the news of her pregnancy in an interview with 9honey, after the devastating loss of her and Connolly's son James when Vo was five months pregnant.

She and her husband were "very excited for the next chapter" although admitted it felt "surreal" after the heartbreak.

"I think as the months go on it becomes more real and a step closer to having our little girl in our arms."

"So we're just counting down those weeks," Vo continued, reflecting on how the couple's first pregnancy experience began with so much joy and then "turned into the worst experience that we could ever imagine.

"But I think for this one, because of what happened... we've described it as being cautiously excited," she said.

Vo says they knew they wanted to try again following the loss of their son, taking time to feel "physically and mentally right" before proceeding with their family plans.

"For us it was more like we just wanted to still grow our family," she says.

"So I think that was sort of our priority. And this time around, obviously there is anxiety there.

"We feel like James is almost looking after her a little bit."

Vo says navigating profound grief and healing together has made her marriage "more solid".

"Obviously it was a challenge," she says.

"I think last year was so traumatic and we were navigating grief and trauma together, which, obviously, you would never wish upon anyone to go through that sort of scenario.

"I'm very grateful that Liam was a huge support. But we had also a great support network as well, our family, our friends."

Mila has a big sister in Connolly's older daughter from a previous relationship, a six-year-old named Sophia.
