'Nobody know this': Tammy Hembrow dishes on secret date with ex

Tammy Hembrow revealed she once attempted to rekindle things with ex-fiancé Reece Hawkin’s following their 2018 split.

“Nobody know this,” said 32-year-old on sister Emilee Hembrow’s Let’s Be Real podcast, after she revealed a surprising detail about her past.

“We went on a date together,” Hembrow laughed, not revealing exactly when.

The confession came after sister Emilee said she was “rooting for [Tammy] and Reece to get back together”.

The Shark! star admitted her sister wasn’t the only one saying that.

“I feel like a lot of people were,” Hembrow responded. “We’re just good friends now.

“We went on a date... we went on a date together,” she then revealed. “Nobody know this.”

Emilee said she was hanging to hear an update about her sister’s secret date with her ex, but the pair decided they were better off as friends.

“He’s just a friend to me,” Hembrow reiterated. “Love you, Reece.”

Hembrow dated Hawkins from 2014 to 2018, and recently spoke of their now-close bond with nine.com.au as the pair continue to co-parent together.

The exes share two kids; Wolf, 10, and Saskia, eight. While Hembrow shares daugther Posy, three, with her IronMan ex-fiancé Matt Poole.

“All I want in a co-parenting relationship is a good relationship. I want anything that’s going to be good for my kids,” she said.

“With Reece, I’m always just, being happy, keeping the peace, but me and him, we’ve been through a lot together from years and years ago.

“So it’s nice that we’re friends now, we’re at a good place,” she confirmed.

Hembrow is now dating model and actor Grayson Te Moana, 23, and has said she wants to protect their romance as much as she can.

It follows her divorce from former Love Island star Matt Zukowski, who she split from in June 2025 after just seven months of marriage.

On the topic of parenting, Hembrow told nine.com.au she’d be open to having more children if her partner Grayson wants to be a dad one day.

“I always said I would never have more kids because I’m like, I’ve been there, done that, I’ve done the most. But my partner’s never had kids, so I’m like, you want me to give you some babies?” she laughed.

“I love being a mama, and I feel like if it feels right. I’m not saying yes, no, nothing, it was a big no for a minute there.”

“I guess it just depends on the person.”
