Tammy Hembrow fires back after ex’s online ‘sledge’: ‘Excuse me?! Bit rude’

Exclusive: “Yes... He was not talking about me in that post,” Tammy Hembrow says as I breach the topic of her ex-fiancé Reece Hawkin’s recent and controversial post about his exes.

Hawkins, 31, recently shared an eyebrow-raising post about his former flames, without naming anyone, which read: “Caffeine and cigarettes are going to ruin your heart. Have you seen my taste in women? I’ll be fine.”

Hembrow, 32, commented underneath: “I beg your finest pardon.” And it caught the attention of fans and gained thousands of ‘likes’.

Hembrow tells nine.com.au that Hawkins actually called her and clarified the post wasn’t about her and speaks about their now-close bond as they co-parent together.

She shares two kids with ex-fiancé Hawkins; Wolf, 10, and Saskia, eight, and Posy, three, with her IronMan ex-fiancé Matt Poole.

“He called me right after he posted that and he was like, ‘by the way that’s not about you,’” she says.

Hembrow dated Hawkins from 2014 to 2018, and happily speaks about their now-close bond as they co-parent together.

“All I want in a co-parenting relationship is a good relationship. I want anything that’s going to be good for my kids,” she adds.

“With Reece, I’m always just, being happy, keeping the peace, but me and him, we’ve been through a lot together from years and years ago.

“So it’s nice that we’re friends now, we’re at a good place. So when he posted that, I was like, ‘excuse me?! Bit rude,’” she jokes and adds with a laugh.

“He was like, ‘I’m sorry, that’s definitely not about you”.’

Hembrow is now dating boyfriend Grayson Te Moana, 23, and has said she wants to protect their romance as much as she can.

It follows her divorce from former Love Island star Matt Zukowski, who she split from in June 2025 after just seven months of marriage.

“I think because it’s such a different relationship to me, something about my last relationship that I went through, that I just feel like I learned so much from,” she says.

“So my relationship now and how different it is and how much it means to me, I really just want to protect it.”

She and Grayson recently soft-launched their romance online and for Tammy, she says she’s like every other woman feeling nerves about making something official on social media, despite having a public profile and millions of followers.

“I’m just a girl. I’m just normal. When someone is soft-launching someone or whatever, that’s how I feel when I’m doing it and I’m excited about like being in love or the person I’m dating, you know what I mean?

“I feel like I’m put into a different category that I don’t feel like I’m actually in... I just want to post because I’m like, I love my man.”

When quizzed about some of the biggest lessons she’s learned about love, she says listening to others around you helps.

“Listen to the people around you. Like my friends and my family. They see things that you don’t, and I feel like there’s been so many times that I’ve never really listened, and now I will never do that again,” she says.

“I will always listen to my sisters and my friends and my mum. And they all love my new boyfriend, so that’s good,” she adds with a laugh.

On the topic of parenting, Hembrow says she’d be open to having more children if her partner Grayson wants to be a dad one day.

“I always said I would never have more kids because I’m like, I’ve been there, done that, I’ve done the most. But my partner’s never had kids, so I’m like, you want me to give you some babies?” she laughs.

“I love being a mama, and I feel like if it feels right. I’m not saying yes, no, nothing, it was a big no for a minute there.”

“I guess it just depends on the person.”
