Tammy Hembrow finally addresses infamous collapse outside Kylie Jenner’s 21st birthday

Tammy Hembrow has called Los Angeles a “dark place”, addressing her collapse at at Kylie Jenner’s 21st birthday party in 2018.

Hembrow, 32, was asked about the now-infamous photo of her lying face-down in an ambulance, during a live appearance with the Outspoken the Podcast.

The fitness influencer was photographed being wheeled into an ambulance outside of West Hollywood club Delilah in August 2018, where Jenner’s 21st birthday party was being thrown.

As hosts Lucy Jackson and Nikki Westcott pressed Hembrow about the events that transpired at Jenner’s 2018 party, the influencer initially said she did not want to answer.

“I don’t wanna get messy,” Hembrow eventually said.

“I just feel like to me, LA is a bit of a dark place.

“There’s some dark people, hence why I haven’t been back there for a hot minute.”

The influencer continued to say while she did party hard that night, she didn’t believe that was what caused her collapse.

When asked if she thought she was drugged at the 2018 event, she hesitated to answer, pulling the microphone away from her face.

Instead, Hembrow opted to take a shot of alcohol as part of a ‘truth or drink’ game where the player must answer a personal question or take a drink if they refuse to answer.

Hembrow didn’t identify anyone or provide further detail.

In a previous interview with Stellar magazine, Hembrow said she had been sleep-deprived and unwell the day of Jenner’s party.

“I probably, definitely shouldn’t have been drinking because of how jet-lagged and exhausted I was, and I already wasn’t feeling well,” she explained at the time.

“I was struggling to stay awake even when I had my hair and makeup done… I could barely keep my eyes open.”

During her live interview with Outspoken the Podcast, Hembrow also explained why she’s selling her Gold Coast mansion.

“Oh, I have wanted to sell it for, like, a long time,” she said. “I just want some land. I want some chickens. Sass wants a pony.”

“I [also] want to build a playground in the backyard. I want to have a yard.”

The questioning then took a blunt turn, with one person asking if she was selling the multi-million-dollar home because she’s “poor.”

“No,” Hembrow replied, before another speaker jumped to her defence: “She’s not poor.”

The star bought her Broadbeach Waters beachfront mansion on the Gold Coast for $2.8 million in June 2020.

She first listed it under an expression of interest campaign in 2024. The home is now slated to go to auction this month.
