Sylvia Jeffreys shares tribute to Peter Stefanovic as he spends 39th birthday in quarantine: 'Miss you like crazy'

Sylvia Jeffreys has shared a sweet tribute to her husband Peter Stefanovic on his 39th birthday.

Stefanovic, who is currently quarantining after spending time in the US covering the election, was separated from his family on his special day.

"Happy birthday to my one. Miss you like crazy," Jeffreys, 34, wrote in the caption.

"But enjoy the gift of uninterrupted hotel quarantine sleep because you won't be getting much of that this time next year. Love you."

In the video Jeffreys posted, their nine-month-old son Oscar is laughing as Stefanovic hugged and kissed him.

His mother, Jenny Stefanovic, shared a throwback photo of him to mark the special day.

"Happy Birthday, Pete. Like father, like son," she captioned the photo, in reference to the similarities between him and Oscar. "The apple doesn't fall too far from the tree. Have a great day. Love you, mum."

Prior to Stefanovic flying to the US, the couple announced they were expecting their second child together.

"When you find out you're getting a best bud for life. Oscar's little brother due in April next year," Jeffreys wrote. "We are so lucky."

In February this year, the couple welcomed their son Oscar. The journalists tied the knot in a stunning ceremony in the New South Wales Kangaroo Valley in 2017.

Oscar is close in age to his cousin Harper, born to Karl and Jasmine Stefanovic in May.
