Married at First Sight's Sean says Susan's 'I love you' wasn't what it seemed: Watch
We're still not over Married at First Sight's Susan Rawlings tragic vow renewal breakup with Sean Hollands.
"You committed yourself to be my husband and for that I completely love you," she told Sean before breaking our hearts and explaining that she couldn't see herself living on his farm.
And while fans might hold onto hope of a reunion with those three words, Sean told TODAY'S Sylvia Jeffreys and Karl Stefanovic he wasn't obsessing over the phrase.
"To everyone else they'll be thinking 'she loves me' but I knew what she meant by that," he said. "She's given me hope in what I'm looking for out there and I've also given her some as well so I knew what she meant because she loves me as the person I am."
Still, Sean said he's not closing the door (Sorry, Jesse! Couldn't resist.) on their relationship completely.
"This doesn't stop everything," he said. "Even though we've said [we'll] go our different ways, it hasn't stopped us from talking and you never know what tomorrow brings.
"That’s why I went on this experiment and put all the trust in the experts, and they definitely matched us really well together."
While fellow season 4 participant Cheryl Maitland may have moved on, Sean isn't yet ready to jump back into the dating pool.
"I'm not really going out there looking now," he admitted. "I do have my kids to concentrate on, so we'll just live day by day and back into the normal working life."
