British broadcaster and Top of the Pops host Steve Wright's cause of death revealed
Five months ago, fans were left in shock upon hearing the news of BBC Radio presenter Steve Wright's death.
The broadcaster and former Top of the Pops host died at just 69, with his death being announced by his heartbroken family.
And now, his cause of death has been revealed, with the BBC reporting Wright died from a ruptured stomach ulcer; with him having acute peritonitis and a perforated gastric peptic ulcer.

The cause of death was listed on his death certificate, the BBC reports.
According to the Mayo Clinic, periontitis is an infection and occurs when "the abdomen becomes inflamed".
The BBC reports that in May, a coroner ruled out an inquest into his death.
Five months ago, Wright's shock death was announced, prompting an outpouring of support and condolences from fans.

A statement from his family obtained by the BBC at the time read: "It is with deep sorrow and profound regret that we announce the passing of our beloved Steve Wright."
"In addition to his son, Tom, and daughter, Lucy, Steve leaves behind his brother, Laurence and his father Richard."
The statement went on to call Wright "one of the UK's most enduring and popular radio personalities".
"Also, much-loved close friends and colleagues, and millions of devoted radio listeners who had the good fortune and great pleasure of allowing Steve into their daily lives as one of the UK's most enduring and popular radio personalities."
"As we all grieve, the family requests privacy at this immensely difficult time."
He had huge success with his career and had been on air since the '70s.
