British actress Emily Blunt, 40, has been nominated for Best Supporting Actress for Oppenheimer.

"I'm completely overcome and overjoyed. Weak legged and immensely grateful for this moment," she reportedly said in a statement.

Blunt, who has been working as an actress since 2001, has never been nominated for an Oscar until now.

Peaky Blinders star Cillian Murphy, 47, scored a nomination for best leading actor for Oppenheimer.

"I'm 48 and I've seen a lot and been doing it for 28 years now, so I think I can understand how significant it is to me and how meaningful it is to me and to other people," he told Deadline about the nod.

"You know, it's been a long time in the business. I think as a youngster it just didn't seem a possibility, anything like this."
