Scott Eastwood takes death-defying jump off Sydney cliff…and lives to post it on Instagram

Move over, Clint Eastwood. The 86-year-old screen legend's 30-year-old son has just performed an action stunt that would probably make Dirty Harry's day...or make him green with envy.

Scott Eastwood is currently in Australia filming the sequel to Pacific Rim, and he stopped by Wattamolla beach in Sydney's Royal National Park for a little cliff-diving fun.

Thankfully, he had his waterproof camera to capture the entire death-defying stunt.

The clip, which Scott posted for his two million followers, begins with Scott jumping off a cliff and diving into the water below.

For a while, everything appears to be going according to plan, until the camera locks onto an underwater shot while the underwater sounds continue. Uh-oh.

Then after what seems like forever, we catch a glimpse of Scott's colourful shorts, and he emerges from the water in all his shirtless glory.
