Comedian Sacha Baron Cohen channels alter ego Borat to mock Kanye West and Donald Trump

Sacha Baron Cohen stole the show as he stepped into his famous character Borat Sagdiyev to roast Kanye West and Donald Trump's recent antics.

The British comedian channelled the Kazakhstani journalist he made famous in the Borat films when he attended the prestigious Kennedy Center Honors in Washington, D.C. on Sunday, which was also attended by US President Joe Biden.

When taking the stage to make a speech, 51-year-old Cohen – who is Jewish – mocked West's controversial rants about Jewish people and his recent dinner with Trump at the former US president's Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida.

"I must say I am very upset about the antisemitism in the US and A," Cohen said in character, as reported by The Guardian. "It is not fair. Kazakhstan is number one Jew-crushing nation. Stop stealing our hobby. Stop the steal! Stop the steal!"

"Your Kanye, he tried to move to Kazakhstan and even changed his name to Kazakhstanye West. But we said no. He too antisemitic, even for us," Cohen added.

The comedian and actor – who was at the event to honour U2 frontman Bono and many more for their lifetime contribution to American culture – then reportedly proceeded to sing U2's hit With Or Without You, but replaced the lyrics with "With or without Jews". 

"What's the problem? They loved this at Mar-a-Lago. They chose Without Jews," Cohen quipped at the crowd.

"I am told the president of yours today is here. Where are you, Mr. Trump?" Cohen joked, before spotting Biden in the crowd. "You don't look so good ... your big belly is gone. And your pretty orange skin has gone pale."

"I see you have a new wife. Wawawoooah!" Cohen added, eyeing Dr Jill Biden. "She is very erotic. I must look away before I get a Bono."
