Ruby Rose treated at hospital following scare while filming in Hungary
Ruby Rose had a serious health scare while reportedly filming a new project in Hungary.
The 32-year-old Australian actress revealed via her Instagram Story on Thursday that she was treated at a hospital after the silicone ear plugs she was wearing to protect her hearing from a loud scene had become lodged in her ear.
"I've had a couple co-stars end up in hospital because of ear plugs from films with gunfire and other loud noises [that] ended up being lodged in their ear canals," she wrote in a post. "I always made fun of them... I will never make fun of them again!"
She also shared an eerie video of herself walking into the hospital, which appeared completely empty.
"I have a silicone ear plug inside my damn brain and I think this is the scariest hospital I've ever seen," she said.
On a photo of an empty receiving room, she wrote jokingly, "If you never see me again... I hope my organs went to wonderful people."
The Orange is the New Black star also detailed the painful process to remove the ear plug safely.
"It took over an hour, three doctors and a lot of screaming, crying and fainting, but they did it," she updated her fans.
"Now, to fix my TV... it doesn't seem to have sound working," she concluded lightly.
But she did raise more serious concerns about the apparent decline of health care facilities in the Central European country.
In her Instagram story, she shared local articles decrying "vulnerability and chaos" in the healthcare systems and asked her fans to DM her with ways she can help "in any small way."
