Rosie O'Donnell apologises to Priyanka Chopra for mistaking her identity during mortifying encounter at Malibu restaurant
Rosie O'Donnell has revealed a mortifying encounter she had with Hollywood couple Nick Jonas and his wife Priyanka Chopra.
The actress and comedian detailed the incident in two TikTok videos shared this week, in which she detailed running into the couple at celebrity hotspot Nobu in Malibu with her son, his girlfriend and The Nanny star Fran Drescher. The foursome were seated next to the Jonas Brothers singer and the beloved Bollywood star, so O'Donnell went up to them to say hello.
"Seated next to us was Nick Jonas and his wife, someone Chopra … Which I always assumed was Deepak Chopra's daughter," O'Donnell said in the clip, referring to the Indian-born self-help author.

"So when I said, 'Hi Nick Jonas, you were great in Kingdom, and, 'Hi (Priyanka) I know your dad'. She goes, 'You do? Who's my dad?' And I go, 'Deepak'. And she goes, 'No... and Chopra's a common name.'
"I felt so embarrassed. Didn't you think Nick Jonas was married to Deepak Chopra's daughter? Am I the only one who thought that?" Watch the clip above.

O'Donnell's son is then heard in the background saying: "You had one job." — and the comedian agreed.
"I had one job. I messed it up all right, so Nick Jonas I apologise, and to the Chopra wife... I apologise too," she concluded.

However, O'Donnell appeared to put her foot in it again when she called the actress "the Chopra wife". After seemingly getting called out on TikTok, O'Donnell returned to the platform with a new video to apologise for not knowing Priyanka's name.
"Priyanka is her name — i shoulda googled b4 i tiktok ed #mondayvibes," the former talk-show host captioned her new video.
In the clip she said, "She's apparently a very well known actress and more famous than [Jonas]. So I'm sure it felt weird to her to begin with. Anyway, Priyanka is her name. And I just want to apologise to her and to everyone who thought it was inappropriate of me. Sometimes I f--k up."

FYI, Priyanka's father was Dr Ashok Chopra, a physician in the Indian Army. He died in 2013 after a long battle with cancer.
Father and daughter were extremely close and the actress even has a tattoo on her right wrist that reads, "Daddy`s lil girl."
